Hi,

Please excuse me if this has been answered before....

Would anyone kindly recommend me an m42 > E mount adapter without the "lip" that is pressing the aperture pin?

My current adapter does depress the pin - which is perfect in most cases - but I also have a weirdo lens I would like to use wide open, and in this case that means that the pin should not be pressed.

I would prefer not to do any changes to the lens itself as I also at times like the hexagonal (call me a freak ok..its fine.. ;-)) bokeh it makes at max aperture (3.5) ..... + its an old Meyer and I have no experience tinkering with those...

If anyone finds time to answer it would be greatly appreciated

Thank you and best regards,

Eirik

Here is a picture looking in the e-mount end with a m42 lens screwed into a FOTGA adapter where you can see the aperture pin is free and clear. I have perhaps 25 of these adapters for my many m42 lenses.

All my m42 lenses have a manual vs auto setting on the lens and setting to manual works with every one of them. But I do understand that not all lenses have this switch.

When in manual mode, there is not much springiness to the pin and if I push it in, it just may stay pushed in. If set to Auto, then there is springiness to the pin and I can feel it push back out, but the adapter does not interfere with this.

The camera was an Olympus EM1ii, but the adapter was not connected to a camera and was indeed the one for E-mount.
